Contents

The course is closely related to the knowledge and skills acquired in Drawing I. It focuses on the development of drawing techniques, especially in the acquisition of the intensity of gradients through the use of additional techniques - the use of plastic rubber, rag, sponge and watercolor techniques. At the end of the course, drawing technique touches on the basics of working with paint and the overlap into painting.

1-3 - Concentration on the sculptural studio translation of still life in a variety of lighting conditions using basic drawing techniques.

4 - basics of working with watercolor

5-6 - study of portraiture in charcoal

7-8 - figure study in charcoal

9-10 - entry into photography and technical painting in the form of retouching

11 - special techniques on the border between technical image and drawing - toulene printing, combination of xerox and drawing

12 - joint presentation of the results and all the works produced in the course - evaluation

Learning outcomes

The student knows the basics of working with watercolour and charcoal, can retouch photographs and work with specific techniques on the borderline between technical painting and drawing.

Evaluation methods and criteria

The course requires active participation in class and continuous completion of homework. The course ends with an exam, which takes the form of a joint presentation of all the work produced in the course.
