Contents
This class will provide specific, practical, and aspirational guidance to the student director regarding how to transform a script into a fully realized short film. Essential questions will be posed to the class to help cultivate an active and engaged community of directors who will learn how to develop their specific and unique strengths into a directorial approach that serves the story.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course students will:
- Develop an idea and a concept of the story for the graduation film (Graduation Project).
- Develop further their skills in presenting their own idea and story to others and how to provide feedback to other presentations.

Evaluation methods and criteria
The minimum required attendance to the class is + 70 %
The assessment is based on the active participation in guided and non-guided discussions, Story presentation and Director’s pitch.
Story presentation – the student presents the story outline to the mentor.
Director´s pitch – the student presents the story outline to the mentor and guest teacher(s) from FI faculty.
