Contents
This course will provide an assessment of the multiple layers in sound practice, with a particular focus on sound for moving image in all its forms: fiction film, documentary, animation, video-art, VR, etc.
It approaches the technical aspects of sound design while at the same time expanding the concept of sound-design itself.
Learning outcomes
-Learning the essential techniques of sound pracice: recording, editing, mixing and mastering
-Experience inside a digital audio workstation including setup of sessions, editing, mixing and mastering.
-Understanding relevant and necessary plug-ins while creating the soundtrack.

Evaluation methods and criteria
This course will be based on weekly AV technical exercises and students participation is required. Students evaluation will consist on a final presentation of the results of these exercises in class.
