Contents
Theory:
- introduction - instruction in the rules of safety in instruction
- introduction to martial arts, fighting sports and the difference between them'
- the concept of sport vs martial arts and so called street fighting
- various concepts of exercise in the military and police
- concept of weapons and firearms
- appropriate statutes from criminal code - necessary defense, extreme urgency, first aid.
Practical exercises:
- warm-up and flexibility maintenance and stamina including stretrchig and compensatory exercisesl
- basics of the defense stance and movement in it, coordination exercises
- falling exercises
- disciplines, mistakes, arm holds, strangleholds;
- strike surfaces and striking techniques of upper limbs (fist, elbow, hand edge, palm, etc.)
- strike surfaces of the legs and kicking techniques (high kick, low kick, arc kick, knee strikes, foot strikes, heel strikes, etc.)
- directed battle exercises with a partner - self-defense and attack techniques;
- behaviour and managing stress in crisis situation;
- basics of knife battle, short pole and firearms and defense against weapons and firearms in general;
- general basics of survival, movement in the field, use of buildings and common objects for self-defense.
Learning outcomes
Students, during instruction, are introduced to the theory and practical basics of self-defense where the instuctor will start with classic martial arts in a modern comprehensive system of martial arts and self-defense sports. The use of weapons and firearms and their defense against them in real situations.
