Obsah
The objective of the course is to provide students with a foundational understanding and familiarity with the process and basic principles of creating a staging concept and practical experience in this area. The primary focus is put on development of the ability to create a justified, feasible, artistically valuable and original, holistic - dramaturgical, artistic/ scenographic and directorial concept leading to the desired final creation. Respecting the specific dispositions, capacities and areas of interest of individual students, the intention is to guide them to form their own theatrical opinion and staging style, to search for and find suitable means of expression for the chosen theatrical work, to find sources of inspiration in a broad scope, to actively read not only dramatic texts, but also other texts from the field of art, art history and other professional scientific literature, to work independently, to formulate their own ideas and staging starting points in a precise and understandable manner, to develop creative processes, to discuss artistic creation itself in all its areas, to reflect on and become aware of the possibilities of the specific theatrical language of the field they have decided to study, and thus to individual growth not only in the field of puppetry.
Course content:
Practical part: opinion (analysis of what was seen), possibilities (spectrum of interest), selection (given or chosen text/topic), analysis of the original work/topic (content, form, idea, topicality/update, interpretation), analysis and precreation from a dramaturgical, directing, scenographic and acting or performance point of view, sources of inspiration (literature, other areas of art and science, social phenomena, etc.), target group, choice of means of expression – interaction and synthesis of individual staging components, oral and written formulation of the concept, presentation
Theoretical part: selected chapters from the theory of drama – components of a stage work (by itself, in interaction, substitution, synthesis, etc.), genres and types of theatre, their intersections and alternatives, principles of creation from a psychological perspective – phases, individual versus collective creation
