Obsah

  1. Object and material properties + animation basics. 2. The original role of the subject, object, material and its substitute role in puppet theatre. Object as a puppet, stage character, prop in stage space. 3. Composition. Exercises focused on working with objects and materials in space. Creating material/object installations on the given themes. 4. Object and material in stage space. Grasping the means of expression and elements creating stage space. The relationship between stage space and object/material. 5. Metamorphoses of object and material. Applying their own findings to the actor-material-space relationship. During the semester, students go through a sequence of creative assignments through which they become familiar with the phenomenon of scenography of contemporary puppet theatre. By completing individual assignments, they gain an overview of and relationship to individual means of expression of puppet theatre.

Výsledky učení

By completing the course, the student will gain experience in working with material and objects in puppet theatre. The course develops the student's relationship to material and object as a visual symbol and a means of creating meaning in the stage space. It supports the student's abstract and symbolic thinking, which is essential for further creation of the visual concept of the production.

Credits are awarded for implementation and presentation of scenographic assignments (spatial designs, objects, installations)
