Obsah
As part of the course, students are tasked with creating a performance from scratch using puppetry techniques in groups of 2–3 people. The task involves preparing literary material, dramaturgy, directing and acting.
Students choose the theme and idea of the form ( including search in the area of puppet constructions, scenography, theatre space creation). Also, they independently choose literary material, which is the base and inspiration for the practical work.
This course also includes a basic insight into the financial, marketing, and legal aspects related to theater production and post-production.
Course contents:
Independent construction of theatrical scripts as well as choice of most appropriate means of expression needed for the realization
Analyzing dependence and practical usage of all elements creating theatrical performance: visual arts, music, movement, animation, light
Adjusting all aspects of the performance to an appropriate receiver of theatrical work
Independent work on a theatrical score
Independent creation of a role basing on an actor and means of expression of a puppet
Effective co-operation, organization and division of tasks among members of the group
Recognition of the production process of a theatrical work, with particular attention to the aspect of copyright.

In the field of knowledge (K), the student:
- analyzes and investigates mutual relations between theoretical and practical aspects of studies as well as makes use of that knowledge for own artistic development while creating project of “small theatrical from”t
- knows the possibilities of puppet techniques, theatre of object, mask and other unconventional means of artistic expression and theatre of live form; adjusts elements to own project
- is aware of the connections and dependencies between theoretical and practical elements of studies (necessity of analysis and structuring the script, and the choice of most appropriate means of expression)
In the field of skills (S), the student:
- develops own artistic personality; creates, realizes and expresses own artistic concepts
- improves skills needed for their realization during rehearsals
- creates construction of a script and understands its purpose and essence
- co-operates and co-acts with other people within group work
- uses wide range of skills enabling realization of own artistic concept
- Has some degree of knowledge of the financial, marketing and legal aspects of running a theatre group.
In the field of social competences (SC), the student:
- proves creativity by making individual, independent works, by collecting, analyzing and interpreting indispensable information, formulates own ideas with the use of critical argumentation; is determined by internal motivation and organization of own work
- is able to use imagination, intuition, emotions, creative thinking and work in an effective way in order to solve problems, possesses the skill of flexible thinking, adaptation to new and changing circumstances as well as the skill of controlling own behaviours and managing all situations being part of public presentations of the prepared “small form”
- improves the skill of effective communication and living in society, which especially concerns group work, negotiating, organizing, integrating with others while working on a joint project
- is able to present, advertise own project in a approachable way by using known elements of information technologies

Hodnoticí metody a kritéria
The examination assessment takes into account:
the quality of work at subsequent stages – selection and development of the script, involvement in researching various puppet theatre techniques, consistency of the project concept, awareness of the selected techniques and material, independence in working on the project, group work – 70%
the effect of the examination performance – 30%
Attendance in accordance with the study regulations. 3 excused absences per semester are tolerated.
