Obsah
This course is the culminating production module of the Master’s Programme in Puppetry. It naturally follows on from the previous main subjects Theater of Animated Form 1, 2, and 3. Students will work collaboratively in small groups (3 students) to devise, develop, and perform an original puppet theatre performance. The primary mode of study is hands-on, practical rehearsals complemented by continuous artistic feedback and mentoring from the instructor.
The course emphasizes artistic research, collaborative creation, dramaturgy for puppetry, and professional-level performance development. Final presentations are performed for a public audience or a jury panel.The final output includes a portfolio for the production, which contains the information needed for post-production.
Course Structure and Methodology
Group Rehearsals (60%) - Supervised and independent rehearsals within assigned groups, with weekly instructor check-ins.
Feedback and Mentoring Sessions (20%) - Ongoing formative feedback provided during in-studio visits and scheduled tutorials.
Artistic Research & Documentation (10%) - A reflective journal or artistic report documenting the group’s creative process.
Final Performance Presentation (10%) - Public or evaluated final performance of 20–30 minutes per group.

Conceive, develop, and realize a complete puppet performance collaboratively.
Demonstrate advanced puppetry techniques in a performance setting.
Apply dramaturgical principles and aesthetic decision-making in devising puppet theatre.
Engage in structured peer and instructor feedback to refine artistic outcomes.
Reflect critically on their creative process and performance outcomes.

Is able to make independent decisions to integrate artistic research into performance creation.
Is able to choose puppet techniques, technologies, collaborators, rehearsal methods, and spaces based on the own extensive experience and theoretical studies.
Can create a visual or textual script based on a chosen theme or text and research, can work individually with text or other sources and adapt them for theatrical purposes.
Is able to collaborate effectively in small artistic teams.
Is able to create and operate original puppetry material (figures, scenography, and visual design) as well as formulate critical argumentation, possessing internal motivation and organizing individual work.
Demonstrate a professional approach to preparation, including reflection on social, scientific, and creative aspects, and be able to solve a wide variety of problems connected with artistic production.
Is able to use imagination, intuition, emotions, creative thinking in their work in an effective way, possesses the skill of flexible thinking, adaptation to new and changing circumstances as well as controlling their own behaviour and managing all situations being part of public presentations of the prepared “small form”.
Improves the skill of effective communication and living in society, which especially concerns group work, negotiating, organizing, integrating with others while working on a joint project, evaluation, self-evaluation and giving constructive critical comments, listening and integrating comments from the coworkers.
