Obsah
Theoretical Mastery of Puppet Technology. This component encompasses an in-depth exploration of various puppet forms, including hand puppets, marionettes, and mannequins. Technical drawings are utilized as foundational technological records of original designs, serving as essential references for workshop implementation.
Students will be trained to conceptualize the interrelationships between character and artistic expression in the construction of puppets. They will develop an understanding of technology not merely as a mechanism for movement but also as a determinant of the puppet's inherent character.
The curriculum emphasizes the importance of reconciling creative ideas with practical feasibility, guiding students in the transformation of concepts into artistic designs, technical schematics, and three-dimensional objects.
Moreover, students will be instructed in the techniques for animating original artistic designs on an enlarged scale, while ensuring proportional balance between artistic vision, technical drawing, and actual realization.
A critical aspect of the course is fostering awareness and acceptance of the movement capabilities of puppets. Students will engage in the design of scenes, props, and puppets, making informed choices about the most appropriate materials for their projects.
Ultimately, the aim is to cultivate both skills and confidence, empowering students to improvise effectively when creating atypical objects and puppets tailored to specific staging methodologies.
This course aims to provide an understanding of the technical construction of stage design and various puppet forms through demonstrative exercises involving technical schematics of joints and puppet control. Students will develop practical skills in carving, modeling, and casting, focusing on the transformation of selected materials into pre-conceived designs and characteristics of puppets.
