Obsah
Course objectives:
Creating student’s skills of articulation own interpretational, aesthetic and formal concepts in the way that should help the actor in the process of creating a role and also help to conduct broadly understood stage actions
Working on student’s skill to formulate ideas in a communicative way and to pass them to the actor in a form of so called “acting tasks”, which are more detailed dispositions concerning actor’s physical actions as well as emotional actions in concrete stage situations
Creating logical ”acting tasks” connected to the director’s ideas and concepts
Course contents:
Practical collaboration with students of acting specialization as well as professional actors based on a chosen literary material, adaptation or own script
Work on a method of formulation of remarks for actors
Direction of a short theatrical form (etude, scene, one-act play)

In the field of knowledge (K), the student:
knows the rules needed to analyze drama text
knows the methods of work with actors
In the field of skills (S), the student:
individually collects knowledge concerning chosen drama text, including its historical context, presents and justifies the choice of the text
individually analyzes drama text and presents the analysis to the group of students and actors
formulates and presents “acting tasks” to actors basing on fragments of a drama text
shows the skill of flexibility while working with an actor and the skill of introducing adjustments in their actions during rehearsals conducted by the student
In the field of social competences (SC), the student:
individually realizes own aims as a director among a group of actors
presents own concepts and ideas to actors in a communicative way
is able to conduct discussions concerning own ideas of stage solutions

Hodnoticí metody a kritéria
The final result should be a short theatrical form based on selected literary material.
Passing grade based on assessment of successive stages of work on the etude, ability to formulate acting tasks, degree of creativity and involvement in classes.
Class attendance - minimum 80%.
