Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Master of the main study and its technical and artistic issues

Excellent bearing in various styles of Baroque performance.

Study of basic and solo repertoires of chamber music with harpsichord

Management of basic teaching issues

Increasing the historically informed performance of Baroque music from an expressive and technique perspective with emphasis on the 17th century music. Preparations for the final exam and exam befor the dean's committee at the end of the second semester.

Curriculum

1st study year:

15 symphonies and the French Suite by J.S.Bach

- Italian School free form of the 17th century (Rossi M, J. Froberger)

- Suites from the French School of the 17th century (L. Couperin, J. Froberger)

- varying forms (Virginalists)

- 4 virtuose sonatas by D. Scarlatti

- compositions of the 20th or 21st centuries.

Recommended or required reading:

Basic Baroque Harpsichord literature of the end of the 16th century to the 19th century and Harpsichord literature of the 20th and 21st centuries. This fundamental literature is expanded to the required repertoire for various international Harpsichord competitions.
