Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Introduction to various types of puppets and their inherent rules.

Mode of study:

media recording analyses, text analyses, contact instruction, puppet-making.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Students should have an interest in puppetry as well as knowledge and skill acquired in courses related to drama training and also Make-up-puppetry courses and Acting with props and puppets.

Recommended optional programme components:

Student project prepared and completed outside the study plan.

Course contents:

- Object animation

- Surface puppets and their possibilities and limitations.

- Hand puppets/Muppets and their various types.

- Marionettes

- Shadow theatre

- Other types of puppets according to student interest.
