- Learning outcomes of the course unit:

To support and expand student skills in analysing theatre production, its forms and intentions, ability to describe them with an emphasis on their graphics aspect, to review impressions orally, in writing and creatively synthesize them and arrange them into the context of contemporary theatre.

Analysis and review of selected, particularly theatre, projects.
- Prerequisites and co-requisites:

General knowledge of basic Theatre research studies, ability to analyse and review.
- Course contents:

Several topics which contain various forms and potential of theatre expression determined for each semester. These are often selected considering current important theatre events. With each topic a selection of several potential theatre performances are arranged which eventually will be covered in discussion in classes.
- Recommended or required reading:

The available material for contemporary and recent Czech theatre production, so called collections - ex: Contemporary Czech Set-design. Next Wave, etc. Additional articles in trade periodicals - ex:Divadelní noviny, A2, SAD Loutkář, etc. Study texts will be supplemented during the year according to the given topics.

Credit is awarded based on attendance, class activity and selected events and completion of the semester paper.
