More theory focused in a two-semester study oriented on an overall, basic and advanced glimpse into issues of the relationship of technology and the arts in a broad sense of the word. In particular, the relationship of technology and music in the perspective of history of about the last 120 years.

A strong emphasis is placed on reading writings in the diverse relationship of music and technology of the digital age from a current and historical perspective. Further emphasis is upon finding orientation in the issues of current creativity and theory discourse across genres which may be considered sound.

Along with contemporary classical music in the traditional sense of the word, this is also a glimpse into the world of soundart (sound installations, etc.), Net-art (digital arts in global networks) and other forms of contemporary art in which traditional aesthetics and historical standards lose their conceptual devices.
