Learning outcomes of the course unit

Expanding knowledge in film theoy focusing on its application in editing in feature, documetary and experimental film. Introduction to overlaps into philosophy, sociology and psychology in film.

Completion of „Editing Composition Theory 1 - 4.“

  1. Critical evaluation of editing according to Andre Bazin
  2. Critical evaluation of editing according to Jan Kucera
  3. Media theory according to Marshall McLuhan
  4. Film and psychonanalysis
  5. Truth and documentary film.
  6. Avante-gard film montage theory
