Note

Spend two days to discover how to create non-linear narrative works in the browser using Korsakow 6 (based around HTML 5). With no coding and a simple interface Korsakow is a straighforward way to create interactive works for the net or mobile devices with text and audio overlays and multiple media paths. Each session will run 3 hours and include discussion as we together create streaming media works that are navigable by the viewer.

Friday morning we start with a basic introduction of concepts and possibilities looking at past examples of work. On Friday afternoon and Saturday we will create works using Korsakow.

Hardware & Software needed to follow along: Laptop w/software: Korsakow free demo version. Media pre encoded (see above).

CV: I am Florian Thalhofer, a Berlin-based Artist. I am a documentary filmmaker and the inventor of Korsakow, a software to create a new kind of film and a principle to create a new kind of story. Korsakow is the tool that I use for almost all my work as a documentary maker. And Korsakow – or the Korsakow principle – heavily influences how I see the world. This is reflected in my writing.
