By the end of the course students will:

-learn how to analyze a text and look for its key dramaturgical elements

-learn how to write a treatment for the adaptation of the existing text

Course contents

Part 2 of the course focuses on the work on the treatment of the feature adaptation of the student´s choice.

Students work on the adaptation of the text selected in the previous semester.

Students will analyze the the text, define and suggest their approach to it and in guided discussion defend their creative choices

Students develop and write a treatment for the adaptation of the text of their choice

Assessment methods and criteria

Minimum required attendance to the class is + 70%

Pass grade is based on the the active participation in guided and non-guided discussions and the Final assignment.

The course grade will be calculated as follows:

Attendance of the classes - 30%

Participation in the class - 30%

Final assignment - 40%

Final assignment: The completed treatment of the text of the students choice (min. 900 words)
