Students will break down the dramaturigy of a single dramatic scene, focusing on the beginning-middle-end structure and the character trajectory within the limited storytelling unit. They will analyze and work with character interactions (with other characters or the world) and the challenges and reversals they will encounter and the actions they take. Students will pay attention to the concept of perspective and POV as part of a storytelling strategy. Then the students will plan out this scene using their own artistic use of visual language in the form of the directors storyboard.
