Obsah
The course offers a basic orientation in art history with an emphasis on the local context in its international and global context. Teaching is based on direct contact with works of art in the form of excursions to exhibitions of the National Gallery Prague, where expert interpretation is provided by the staff there. The geographic and chronological scope of the course is partly defined by what is represented in the NGP collections. Seminars led by the guarantor are then used to reflect on the acquired knowledge and to add contexts or themes that are not represented in the exhibitions themselves.
