Learning outcomes of the course unit
Enable students to formulate evaluation criteria for dramatic works for children. Introduce students to subject literature. Contemplate a little regarding explored issues.
Mode of study
Readings, discussion, media recording sample analyses, text analyses.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
- Completion of Literature Theory and History for children and youth.
- Ability to analyze and interpret artistic text and dramatic work.
- Interest in creations for children and youth.
Course contents
An elective course which provides students a glimpse into issues of theatre for children and youth.
- presentation of assesment criteria for drama programs for children,
- viewing selected recorded performances, films or television productions,
- discussions over viewed programs,
- sections in the history of theatre for children and youth.
