Contents

This course further develops the creative innovations of students and offers them experience with choreography tasks. The choreography etude topics cover example issues: live music on the dance stage; sound noise as enriching a choreographic structure; verbal elements as a super-structure and its links to dance; dance variation and music variation.

Learning outcomes

The course aim is to develop choreography experience through various choreographic tasks. Issues of the relationship of dance to everyday movement, movement styles and the relationship between music (sound) and dance and graphic arts, etc, are dealt with. Emphasis is on the students' creative activity.

Prerequisites and other requirements

Knowledge of the basics of composition. Ability to create movement motifs for given music in real time. Experience in working with an artist and multiple artists. Regular attendance in class.
