Learning objectives:
The content of Didactics of Dance Education 1 is aimed at practical introduction to teaching forms. Emphasis is placed on the practical acquisition of creative pedagogical thinking, independent thinking and the ability to reflect.
The course builds on the Pedagogical Proseminar. It is taught in a two-semester course.
The aim of the course is to introduce the teaching form mainly through games, technical exercises and guided improvisation. The student develops independent creative pedagogical thinking and independent reasoning also through theoretical analysis and evaluation in the form of discussion, allowing to grasp and process the given topic from different perspectives, experiences and possibilities.
A compulsory component of the Didactics of Dance Education course is a visit to a regional or national round of a dance show organized by the Ministry of Education and Science or NIPOS ARTAMA, or other professional organizations, taking into account the student's specialization.

Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student knows what is theme, intention, tools and form in dance education. Formulates how inspirational and supportive resources can be used to build a simple pedagogical creative process through play, technical exercise and guided improvisation in each assigned topic. The student is able to reflect independently on the skills and knowledge acquired.

Evaluation methods and criteria
Credits are awarded based on:
- active participation in practical seminars
- preparation of a year-long seminar work
- completion of the National Children's Showcase and preparation of a written reflection.
During the semester, the independent application of the skills and experience acquired in the student's independent learning process is required as a prerequisite for participation in the examination. Written examination, in the form of a year-long seminar paper. The overall assessment consists of 50% of the assessment of activity in seminars, 30% of the written part of the examination and 20% of the active participation in and written output from the departmental National Children's Show.
Conditions for successful completion of the course: active participation in seminars, elaboration and presentation of the seminar work, passing the National Children's Show and its written reflection.
