Learning objective:

The course is based on the functional context and knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics and physiological development of the child in the first year of life. The course offers students a broader view of the functioning of the human organism as a whole and enables them to perceive movement as a natural part of human development. The aim of the course is then to take correct movement patterns from developmental kinesiology into one's own dance and teaching practice.

Thematic areas:

Developmental Kinesiology guides students through the verticalization process in the first year of a child's life and offers insight into the origins of movement at each developmental stage. These movement patterns find application in both dance and teaching.

Learning outcomes

An integral part of the course is also the observation, analysis and evaluation of the child's motor expression in the first year of development. In these observations, students create a comprehensive kinesiological analysis based on the theoretical and partial practical knowledge of Kinesiology 1. In this way, they learn to work independently for their future pedagogical activity, to be able to cope with teaching with individuals and groups, and to be able to effectively describe, explain and correct any defective movement patterns of their students.
