Learning objective:

The content of the course is professional preparation for writing of a diploma thesis.

Supervisors assist in determining the appropriate methodology for collecting materials for the chosen topic and consult possible further directions of the research. They consult on the process of developing the topic into individual chapters and towards the thesis‘ completion. A condition for successful completion of the course is the production of a written thesis that meets the parameters for such a thesis and its in time submission.

Thematic areas:

  1. Intensive work to complete the text, incorporating comments into the text.
  2. Creating lists of sources and literature, checking internal citations.
  3. Preparation of pictorial appendices, tables and other additions to the thesis, overall reflection on the topic.
  4. Checking the final text, spelling, stylistics
  5. Consultation on the prescribed editing of the thesis and preparation for its submission

Learning outcomes

The result of learning is a responsible approach to writing the diploma thesis, using and deepening the student's existing theoretical and practical skills, which leads to the submission of a valuable academic text on the topic, which fully meets the requirements for a diploma thesis in the given field.

Evaluation methods and criteria

Regular consultations to work on the academic text according to the chosen topic in its final stage. Finishing work on the text, including the appendices, glossaries, etc. Consultations on note-taking and citations. Incorporation of comments according to the instructions of the thesis supervisor. Preparation for the tasks required for the submission of the thesis.
