Contents
Getting to know individual regions and ethnographic areas of our country. Culture of the selected region, dance specifics, customs, costumes, ceremonialism, which is an integral part of the study of folk dance.
The course complements the Didactics and Methodology of FD, develops the substance with an emphasis on the practical application of knowledge in teaching.
Dances from East Bohemia. The types of older Bohemian dances recorded in the oldest sources spread rapidly in this area.

Dances from Slovácko - Dolňácko: In Pomoraví, from the waterholes to Hodonín, lies the vast area of Dolňacko. In terms of dance, music and singing, Slovácko is mainly characterized by old couple dances with distinctive movement diction and composition.

Learning outcomes
The student will gain information about the region, its processing and use in teaching folk dances, in preparing materials for teaching folk dance and creating performances for art school students, amateur and professional groups.
After each area covered, the student prepares technical training and searches for dances in the literature related to the area, develops a methodological procedure for teaching.

Evaluation methods and criteria
Credits are awarded on the basis of active participation in classes and the performance of their own variations containing the material covered in order to master the movement peculiarities of the region. The student will search for a dance demonstration on YouTube or DVD Strážnice, evaluate the movement and dance material, analyze the movement vocabulary of the region and prepare a short bond.
Other requirements: attendance 75%, activity in class.
