Contents

Getting to know individual regions and ethnographic areas of our country. Culture of the selected region, dance specifics, customs, costumes, ceremonialism, which is an integral part of the study of folk dance.

Lachia is another distinctive region in Easter Moravia. Today's perception of the region of Lašsko as an equal counterpart to Valašsko (Wallachia), Haná, Horácko and Slovácko has become established due to various circumstances, among which dialectological peculiarities and the distinctive features of regional culture in general have played a significant role. Lachia is not a homogenous region. It is divided into several sub-regions according to its landscape, its costume, certain types of dances and, above all, the style and character of the dance steps.

Thematic areas:

South Horácko, Podhorácko: Kola from Březník, Řeznická from Březník, Circumventing the old men and introduction to feast in Vémyslické

Central Horácko: Groš from Kojetín, Tkalcovská from Zlatkov, Švec from Pivonic, Židovská from Borače, Kohótek from Kozárov, Manžestr and Mysliveček from Velkomeziříčsko, Menueto (minet) from the west Moravia

Northern Horácko: Hulán from Ubušín, Motovidlo, mixture from Olešnica, Slepice, mixture from Unčín, Šotyš from Blatin, Minet from Velkomezričsko, Kalamajka from Krásné, Křižák from Blatin, Plácavá from Žďársk,

Western Horácko: Kola from Sumrakovo, Furiant, mateník from Nové Říše, Podolák from Růžená, Řezanka from Býkovec, Třásák for three and four, Tajč.

Dances from Slovácko: In Pomoraví from the waterholes to Hodonín, lies the extensive area of ​​Dolňácko. In terms of dance, music and singing, Slovácko is mainly characterized by old couple dances with distinctive movement diction and composition.

Learning outcomes

The student will gain information about the region, its processing and use in teaching folk dances, in preparing materials for teaching folk dance and creating performances for art school students, amateur and professional groups.

After each area covered, the student prepares technical training and searches for dances in the literature related to the area, develops a methodological procedure for teaching.

Evaluation methods and criteria

Defence of the seminar work (in the scope of about 2-3 standard pages), written lesson prepared for the selected region, its partial presentation and commentary on the individual elements and links, their execution with a focus on the purity of regional execution. After each region covered, the student prepares a technical tutorial and searches for dances in the literature related to that region.

They will search for a sample dance on YouTube or DVD Strážnice, evaluate the movement-dance material, analyze the movement vocabulary of the area and prepare a short weave.

Other requirements: attendance 80%, activity in class
