The content of the course Pedagogical Seminar of Modern and Contemporary Dance 3 consists in systematic deepening of knowledge and experience in the form of independent pedagogical practice, in which the student applies and actually verifies the knowledge and skills acquired from the Didactics and Methodology Modern and Contemporary Dance classes. The pedagogical practice is always preceded by detailed preparation, which is professionally consulted with the teacher of the subject. This is followed by the student's written evaluation (self-evaluation) and discussion.
Meeting and observing various pedagogical personalities, both domestic and international, is essential for improving professional pedagogical thinking and practice. Workshops organized by the Department are an integral part of the study.
The Modern and Contemporary Dance 3 Pedagogical Seminar is closely linked to the course Didactics and Methodology of Modern and Contemporary Dance, Modern and Contemporary Dance Training.
The aim of the study is practical development of independent pedagogical work, awareness of the role and role of the teacher, formation of individual pedagogical style and direct confrontation with real situations in the form of teaching at selected state institutions (e.g. conservatories, ZUŠ), dance companies or private studios. Emphasis is placed on the development of verbal expression, use of professional terminology, adequate choice of methods, ability to work with music and accompanist, demonstration and professional correction. Emphasis is placed on creativity, the ability to create a creative atmosphere and to distribute attention evenly to all pupils, and sensitivity to the appropriate form of approach to a particular individual.

Learning outcomes
The student is able to use their knowledge and skills flexibly and creatively in pedagogical practice in various types of educational and leisure institutions, has an overview of modern and contemporary dance as part of artistic education in the Czech Republic and abroad.

Evaluation methods and criteria
The credit is awarded on the basis of the completed practice (pedagogical outputs) in selected institutions and its written evaluation. The student actively participates in the reflection of the acquired experience in the form of discussion. It also includes a seminar paper (min. 3 standard pages), in which the student compares the education system of individual conservatories in the Czech Republic on the basis of their school documents, RVP plans, their own presentation on the website, views their performances.
Other requirements: attendance 80%, activity in teaching, portfolio creation.
