Learning objective:
Repertory of classical ballet prepares students to teach stage practice and repertory for conservatories and dance schools.
Attention is paid to the CBT methodology for each stage of the training separately and the subsequent application in repertory and stage practice, so that conservatory and dance school students go systematically in their training and are not placed unnecessarily high repertoire demands (if they have not covered the material in classical ballet classes) or vice versa.
Teaching includes learning about the repertory of the great choreographers of the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries, finding and compiling model variations for all eight years of conservatory dance, as well as sensitively adapting and intervening in given choreographies/variations/dances for specific age and performance levels.
Thematic areas:
-Introduction to 19th, 20th and 21st century classical and neoclassical ballet repertory.
-Working with choreography - sensitive interventions in the given choreographies in order to follow the methodology of the given year
-Working with video
-Composing repertoire for the 3rd and 4th year conservatoires
-Variations and choral dances from the ballets Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, La Bayadere, Raymonda, Swan Lake, Coppélia, etc.
Learning outcomes
The student expands his/her practical and theoretical knowledge of classical ballet methodology in the elementary, intermediate and upper stages of training (1st - 8th grade). Gain an overview of the classical ballet repertory and the ability to teach choreography. Masters the ability to adapt choreography to a given grade - student's level of abilities.

Evaluation methods and criteria
Credit is awarded on the basis of practical and theoretical knowledge of the choreographies (variations and ensemble dances) from the given ballets and the ability to teach the given choreographies.
Other requirements:
- elaboration of partial tasks (creation of repertoire for specific years of the conservatory, work with the Internet - search for given choreographies in different versions)
- 80% attendance, teaching activity
