The content of the Didactics and Methodology of Dance Education 1 consists of the theoretical part, focused on the methodology and didactics of dance education, and the practical application of the knowledge acquired during the study. Emphasis is placed on the construction of a dance lesson for different age categories, taking into account the specific differences in the period of childhood and adolescence. The main theme that runs through the entire teaching is creativity and the conscious development of the emotional, psychological and physical aspects of the child's personality.

The course is closely related to the content of the courses Pedagogical Seminar TaV and Dance Education of Children.

The aim of the subject is to develop the independent and creative pedagogical work of the dance education teacher, his/her expertise in working with the child, taking into account the characteristics of the given period of the individual's development and with an emphasis on supporting his/her natural expression.

Learning outcomes

The student will become familiar with the sub-principles, laws and principles of dance movement classes. The student will learn specific movement principles and themes that fundamentally influence and shape movement in the child.

The student will be able to apply the information learned in an appropriate and creative manner to his/her own practice.

Evaluation methods and criteria

Credit is awarded on the basis of a seminar paper of 3-5 NS, which consists of a comparison and analysis of teaching methods recommended by experienced teachers who apply a creative approach to teaching. At the same time, they present their sub-assignments.

Other requirements: 100% attendance, activity in teaching.

Note

Teaching combines monological, applied, interactive teaching methods, encourages self-study within the framework of non-contact learning and student's critical thinking. The student is encouraged to create his/her own portfolio based on the acquisition of his/her own experience and skills.
