Triangle is a joint exercise in collaboration with 1st year CDM and Montage students. Shot on 16mm colour negative film (3 rolls) in 3 shooting days.

The cinematography student prepares the project together with the director and consults the mentor throughout the process. Shooting is done in collaboration across all departments involved and the cinematography student is expected to communicate with all the relevant departments in order to successfully complete the shooting. Colour grading the finished edit is the cinematography student's responsibility as well.

Learning outcomes

Mastering the process of preparation and making of a short feature film — scouting locations with respect to the screenplay, its content, production possibilities, and writing a technical screenplay together with the director. Mastering the workflow of shooting on film and its successive digital post-production.
