This is an intensive two-day module designed to introduce students to basic post-production techniques and procedures. We will focus mainly on the editing programs AVID MEDIA COMPOSER and DAVINCI RESOLVE.
There will be presentations and demonstrations, but the majority of the module will take place mainly in the form of „LEARN BY DOING“ PRACTICAL EXERCISES - Students will receive HDDs with material from various Czech and international projects. On this material they will try out basic tasks that are commonly performed in post-production - Dailies workflow, render mxf/proxies for editing, applying crop and LUT, transferring metadata, importing to avid, preparing for conform, exporting for audio postproduction and more.
The module will be led by Matěj Podskalský, who worked for four years in the UPP post-production studio on Czech and international projects (e.g. All Quiet on the Western Front - Netflix, Dawn, Ordinary Failures, German-British series Das Boot and others).
