The studio in the Master's programme is a place that corresponds in its specialisation and focus to the student's previous artistic development. In addition to working on his/her own original project, the student actively participates in the studio programme, attends joint consultations, completes individual assignments in the form of short exercises and takes part in other events within the studio activities (visits to the studios of significant artists, joint visits to exhibitions, studio study trips, etc.).

A specific task of the ZS in the second year of the Master's degree is the preparation for the realization of the artistic part of the CAP, which begins with a conceptual plan with a thorough knowledge of the context of the chosen topic and its corresponding formal execution. For this purpose, individual consultations are provided according to the needs of the project development.

The result may be an independent exhibition project or an elaborated part of the project for the final artistic performance presented and presented in a studio presentation.

This semester, students are also encouraged to enter the contemporary art scene through exhibitions, performances, participation in gallery open calls, and collaborations with students from other art schools.

10 - 11 - critical discussion within the studio, discussion of the verbal explication of the project and suggestions for improvement, finalization of the solution of the adjustment of the work in the space where the studio pre-presentations are realized

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the course, the student will:

-Has an idea of the topic and form of his/her final thesis

-According to individual needs, works on the preparation either in the form of supporting projects, experiments or meaningful part of the thesis

-Has a clear intention in his/her project and is aware of the technical demands

-Actively participates in the art scene, entering the art scene through exhibitions and other cultural activities

-Knows the context of contemporary art in terms of form and content

Literature

Literature is chosen by the studio head depending on the focus and topic of the semester. Required and recommended literature is communicated to students at the beginning of each semester. Students are encouraged to independently search for relevant sources within the context of artistic research.

Evaluation methods and criteria

A condition for obtaining credit is regular and active participation (min. 80%) in studio classes and completion of semester assignments, including submission of an updated portfolio.
