The course introduces students to the fundamentals of 3D graphics in the areas of static and moving image creation and realtime simulation in the context of contemporary art. It is designed in relation to working with moving image and reflects the previous experience, knowledge and intentions of each learner. Beginning learners get the space to learn the basics of working with the application (Basic); more experienced learners work in individual consultations on their own projects or a cloistered exhibition project.

Main topics

/ Introduction to the course - application examples, demonstrations; identification of learners' knowledge, needs and goals; division into Basic and Advanced groups.

/ Basic tools - introduction to static images, preparing inputs for 3D modelling.

/ Individual consultations on the assigned exercises or on projects in progress.

-5 / 3D models, materials, textures - introduction, demonstrations, joint exercises.

-7 / Moving image and realtime simulation - joint exercise and individual consultation.

/ Animation - joint demonstration and individual consultation.

/ Render.

/ Programming basics and individual consultation.

/ 3D printing, simulation, virtual reality.

/ Joint presentation and evaluation.
