Contents

The course is centered around a semester-long exhibition project as a unique and specific part of the capstone exam and the student's major artistic output within the time constraints of one semester. The work on the project takes place mainly in a studio environment, where visualizing one's own ideas, themes, grasping all sources of inspiration and synthesizing them into an ensemble form according to the chosen medium is an essential part. In the system of teaching, it represents the placement of the exhibition project in a public space with all the responsibility that belongs to this space and the conduct of a critical dialogue with the commission, which consists of internal and external experts.

The main themes

The theme is highly individual, emerging during the studio sessions according to the student's intentions, and may or may not be related to the semester's studio assignment. Its development depends on the difficulty of obtaining input and background information, and the technical and technological demands of its management. It roughly follows this outline:

1 - 4/ - development of the project in the conceptual and preparatory phase in the studio teaching in intensive consultation with studio supervisors and colleagues.

5 - 9/ - realisation of the project and working with explication, placing it in the context of contemporary art, looking for parallels that can support the project

10/ - installation in a chosen exhibition or other space

11 - 12/ defending the project in front of the commission on the basis of the explication, conducting a critical dialogue, feedback and evaluation of the project

Learning outcomes

The listener learns and develops his/her skills in a continuous work that begins with a conceptual plan and ends with installation, explication, critical dialogue with the committee and drawing insights from feedbacks. They expand their knowledge and experience of exhibition and presentation practice. She receives feedback in relation to her intentions and communication skills, particularly in the visual arts, but also in verbalisation and different ways of disseminating and presenting the work.
