The course focuses on practical experimentation of photographic image acquisition by alternative techniques of so-called lensless photography, heliography and close-up processes. In addition to the practical experiment, the module aims to provide a theoretical framework exploring the possibilities of image recording before the invention of photography or the absence of technical tools suitable for this purpose.
Learning outcomes
Experience with the basic principles of the photographic medium, allowing a deeper insight into not only the technical but primarily the theoretical levels and meanings of this medium. Participation in experimental activities and data collection for artistic research.

Evaluation methods and criteria
The output of the course will be a set of visual products of this experiment and for the evaluation within the course the resulting aesthetic and content component plays no role, on the contrary, active participation in the practical and theoretical part of the course is the essence of successful completion of the course.
