During the module, students will be presented with several examples of presentations - both good and bad, as even mistakes can be learned from. The different elements and types of presentation will be discussed (from trying to write an attractive log-line to the synopsis and filling in the project application form), defining general terms and criteria. The seminars will mainly focus on the execution of the actual presentations and presentation skills. Through their own presentations, students should gain more confidence and trust in the quality of their projects, while also being critical recipients for their classmates and colleagues, since a presentation without an audience is only a test in front of a mirror.
Learning outcomes
The aim of the lectures is to introduce the types and possibilities of presenting one's own film projects to the professional public. As part of the lectures, students will learn about the structure of a presentation, the difference between oral and written presentations, how to build their presentation and where and to whom to present it. The final output of the presentations will be in English so that the projects can join the international panel of short films currently being prepared by the Association of Animated Film (ASAF.cz) as part of the short film panel at Anifilm in Třeboň.
Prerequisites and other requirements
The course is intended primarily for 3rd year students of the CAT, as the content of their presentation will be their BA film project. However, students of 1st and 2nd Master's year can also apply with projects of their Animation and Actor and Graduate Film exercises, respectively.
