Lecture: Emilia Forck

Soundpainting is a multidisciplinary language for creating instant composition. It was founded in 1974 by the New Yorker Composer Walter Thompson and is now co-developed and applied by a world wide network. With Soundpainting you shape improvisations or compose in real time using hand and body gestures. It is used by musicians, dancers, actors and visual artists (and helps to practice listening, understanding the group energy and develop skills to improvise with voice, movement or with a theatrical character.) In this workshop we will learn the basics of the gestures and experiment with them in cocreated pieces. It is an open laboratory - everybody can try to perform as an actor, a musician, a dancer or the soundpainter and no pre-experience is needed. If you have, you can bring instruments.
