Course Objective:
This course, required in the first year of study, helps doctoral students acquire their first practical skills related to writing academic texts and presenting them within a disciplinary or interdisciplinary scientific community. An article in the form of a scholarly paper—ideally intended for peer review—or a public conference presentation typically draws on the doctoral student’s own dissertation research project, though this is not a requirement.
