Evaluation methods and criteria
During the semester, independent reading, continuous preparation of partial assignments, and independent testing of worked-out situations are required.
Frequent written student reflections are an important part of the course, helping to clarify and refine the principles discovered in the exercises and examinations.
Another essential factor of the course is not only preparing students for eventual performance on stage, but also understanding the phenomenon of acting itself. Accordingly, students are required to observe one particular performance of their choice in any given production over the course of the semester, noting the differences that arise from the variables (venue, time of performance, composition
audience, etc.).
The overall evaluation consists of 50% evaluation of activity in rehearsals, 30% authorial input, and 20% artistic quality of performance in a classical performance.
