Contents

The course develops the artisanal representation and visualization of objects and space using classical art techniques, to support the student's abilities and at the same time enhance his/her craft and artistic qualities.

Primarily, emphasis is initially placed on teaching drawing and painting of basic geometric and organic objects and their relationship to space/environment, still life, and figure - In the first semester student is primarily oriented to drawing in pencil, charcoal, and large format. The syllabus is always related to the current requirements of the teacher of the main course Scenography.The pedagogical approach to the student is dependent on his/her craft and artistic level.

Learning outcomes

The teaching aims to be able to „see more of reality“ and to be able to analyze the variety of its forms, shapes, lines, masses, colors, and light properties, the interrelationships of things, and consequently the technical and expressive possibilities of artistic expression. We consider the issues of spatial perception and understanding of reality, the compositional relationships of things and materials, the problem of the laws of composition, and knowledge of the psychological aspects of color to be the most important.

Prerequisites and other requirements

The ability to creatively solve assigned tasks in the intentions of the study goal.

Evaluation and recognition of the quality of drawings and paintings produced during the semester, 75% participation in class. Completion of semester assignment (12 drawings/paintings DIN A 1)
