The atelier lessons are devoted to developing thinking in the field of analysis of the psychology of the character about the subject and its relationship to the identity of the student and the author. The student learns to analyze the situation and context of the creation of the subject in dialogue with the subject itself.
The course also examines the interpretive, conceptual, contextual, shape, and material design of the character, with emphasis on the inspirational ideological underpinnings of costume design in relation to the main class assignment. As part of his/her learning, the student goes through the phases of illustration, material gathering, and mutual analysis of characters in relation to the environment.
Learning outcomes
The course contributes to a complex spatial/scenographic understanding and subsequent portrayal of the character - in relation to the story.
It also develops subjective conceptual thinking and enables the ability to analyze specific situations from the character's point of view. The character is perceived as an inseparable part of the interpreted theme, which co-creates/defines the space with its psychology. This strengthens the student's ability to communicate visually by defining the exact material and its specific shape which shapes the character based on the costume.
The student's relationship to the design - each design is a full-fledged artistic artifact.

Ability to communicate visually and think dramatically. Orientation in the fields of: visual arts, material culture and literature. Creativity and ability to relate.

Evaluation methods and criteria
Preparation and defence of the final semester project and accompanying report, the course is concluded with a final exam,the student will create 10 costume designs with a minimum character height of 23 cm.
