Contents
An introduction, but also a deeper dive into the physical modes of performance art, ranging from minimalism to maximalism, from the grotesque to the subtle, combining humour and the horrors of living and dying. We will begin with exercises in Japanese post-war avant-garde butoh dance, and continue to develop connections to other inspirational and irrational sources with connections between the subconscious and the body.
