Contents
In this course, students will have the opportunity to meet artists and curators from abroad and gain insight into different approaches, interests and methodologies. The development of the contemporary art world is a complex process and students need to explore its diversity and gain the tools to research, experiment and create. Among the invited artists will be directors, performers, visual artists, scenographers, lighting designers, voice experts, performance curators, media experts, etc.
The specific content of the course varies according to individual workshops. Guest teachers are carefully selected by guarantor of the program so that their focus is consistent with the philosophy of the study program.
Learning outcomes
Graduate:
- get acquainted with different artistic methods,
- acquires the ability to explore topics and materials through a variety of poetics/aesthetics, media and approaches.
Prerequisites and other requirements
Different according to the dispositions of a particular artist.
Literature
Literature is recommended based on specific workshops.
Evaluation methods and criteria
100% attendance and active participation during the workshops.
Note
In the winter semester of the academic year 2024/2025 there will be a workshop led by Bart Van Nuffelen from Antwerp (23rd - 25th October).
