Contents

This course focuses on cultivating each individual’s stage presence, where stage presence is understood as the state of being and existing on stage in a natural state. Students will learn to understand their own stage presence and work effectively with others to identify and enhance their unique qualities. The course explores how different contexts influence stage presence and how it interacts with other performers, objects, and situations.

Students will develop self-awareness and learn to work with their presence and actions to create performative situations within a dramaturgical framework. They will practice articulating and identifying individual and collective stage presence, understanding its transformation in various contexts, enhancing, deconstructing, in contrast or in relation to others.

The course emphasizes the exploration of authentic states of being on stage and the development of methods and strategies to unlock creative potential. Students will create and implement tasks and performative situations to deepen their understanding and awareness of stage presence for performers, audiences, and themselves.
