Contents

Independent and group work on short etudes with material and puppet.

Searching the possibilities of different puppet types.

Working on rhythm and composition in object theatre.

Builds on the content of Puppet animation 1,2. The aim of the course is to deepen and widen students' acting skills with different types of puppets and with objects or materials. The focus is on the current perception of puppet theatre as one of the tools of a synthetic stage form. Animation of an object, puppet or material which may be the basis or part of a work for stage.

Mode of study: Etudes, exercises in treating stage situations, artistic skills in managing individual types of puppets, discussions and analyses of work performed. The course will be taught in thematic blocks.

Evaluation methods and criteria

Completion of the course will require attendance with a maximum of three absences per semester, activity in exercises, presentations and creativity. A certain amount of homework is expected.
