  1. To introduce students to the infrasture of the arts in the Czech Republic.
  2. To introduce students to cultural and theatre systems.
  3. To manage evaluation methods of artistic processes.

Mode of study

Lectures supplemented by classes for managing evaluation principles (with participation of the guest instructor).

  1. Creativity and theatre.
  2. Creativity industry.
  3. The non-profit sector.
  4. Evaluation of the artistic process.
  5. Implementation of evaluation in practice (class).
  6. The theatre system in the EU.
  7. Financing models including the grant system.
  8. Grants criteria.
  9. National theatre concept.
  10. SWOT analysis of the theatre system in the Czech Republic.

Assessment methods and criteria

Conditions for successful completion of the semester are: mastery of the basic literature and sources (40%), mastery of evaluation principles (20%), oral exam (40%).
