Study results:

Students look at the difficulties and potential of the cameraman profession

Students expand their practical skills in working with a Bolex Pailard H16 RX camera

Students are able to measure scene exposure with a photometer and exponometer

Students acquire basic practice in exercising standard interior scenes.

Course contents

Course description:

Instruction with practice examples and presentation of working with exponometric devices, film cameras and video-cameras. The course aim is to expand knowledge and practical skills which students acquire in the „Camera Study Practical“ course and will need for execution of the obligatory practice exercise of the 1st study year. To discover the particulars of film shooting, working with raw film. The fundamental difference in perception in working with raw film and electronic shooting. Physical nature of analog recording - basic experience and opening of other perspectives in perception for working with the cinematographic image.
