The course „Across Media“ reflects the intersection of genres of contemporary art and their conscious application to specific projects. Each semester focuses on a different area of visual and content output. It explores selected artistic techniques, but on a much broader ideological scale. Individual classes include art practices ranging from performance, to spatial techniques, to painting, to drawing and printmaking. The formal and substantive aspects of the work are addressed as well as a general orientation to the terminology of contemporary art. The lecturers work closely with professionals from each discipline, and theoreticians are also invited to collaborate. The course is conducted through the metaphor of an open experimental space. It promotes a diversity of approaches, concepts and outcomes. The winter semester will be divided into two parts. The first will focus on spatial making, specifically ceramics, working process, the position of this medium in the contemporary art, the specifications of the photographing, tranfering photography or the technical images on the surface of the ceramic objects.
