Obsah

The main objective of the course is to familiarize students with the possible overlaps between artistic (theatrical) creation and the humanities (and vice versa) and the broader social context, with a particular focus on non-mainstream areas of artistic creation and culture. This is particularly relevant in connection with specific, social, and community theater, paratheater, participatory theater, Actor Specific, Art Brut and Outsider Art, performance, anthropological theater, as well as in connection with the essence of rituals, ceremonies, and holidays. Critical examination and ethical thinking are ongoing processes requiring analysis and reflection from many perspectives, which is why the seminar will include discussions on fundamental social issues, the formation of public opinion, and the examination of the relationship between the individual and society in the theater paradigm, taking into account fundamental ethical and social aspects. The subject of interest will also be fundamental ethical issues arising in art (e.g., authorship and originality, stereotypes, sensitive social issues) and important topics shaping individuals in society (upbringing and education, socialization, corrective experience, space for meaningful dialogue, etc.).

Výsledky učení

Students will acquire basic contexts in the transfer of artistic creation to the humanities and the social sphere, and will be able to think critically and draw conclusions on fundamental issues of an artistic-ethical nature and social issues. They will gain the necessary theoretical overview and practical experience for critical thinking in the arts, humanities, and social sciences.
