Obsah

The aim of the course is to provide students with a theoretical and methodological background to the designated topic of the practicum. The lecturers select literature on the topic, which students read and discuss in seminars. The literature is always selected to enable students to reflect on relevant aspects of the topic and to offer examples of how the topic can be creatively approached.

01 - introduction to the topic, review of relevant literature, other possible sources for self-study, course requirements

02-05 - continuous reading and discussion sessions

06 - course summary, peer discussions of intended topics for final critical texts

Výsledky učení

The student further deepens his/her understanding of the relationship between theory and methodology of authorial research and analysis. The student can confidently navigate the theory and methodology of original research.

Hodnoticí metody a kritéria

The course ends with a classified examination. Regular participation in seminar discussions is a prerequisite for passing the course; at the end of the semester the student submits a critical text of 5-10 standard pages. The examination is in the form of a debate on the submitted text.
